Grupel discloses changes to its productsCarlos Martins
Working daily to deliver premium products to our customers is one of our top priorities
. That is why we constantly seek and try new solutions that will give our product the quality and durability that guarantees its optimal use for many years.
That is why today, we are focusing on some of the productive changes we have made, namely, the changes made in the material used in our soundproofed cabins and baseframes.
For Grupel, the use of galvanized steel comes as a reply to our continuous development of our quality products policy. Elected unanimously and recognized for its anti-corrosion features, galvanized steel increases the longevity of our products, as well as the satisfaction of our clients.
During its production phase, the galvanized steel is subjected to a chemical treatment that makes it resistant to corrosion. The application of a protective layer of zinc oxide, protects the steel from rust, which confers greater durability to the products.
There are some methods that can be used to create galvanized steel, being the most popular through hot dip galvanizing. In this method, galvanized steel is created by immersing the steel into zinc oxide. This process allows the zinc to be permanently bonded to the metal, not only on the surface, but inside the steel itself, assembling a secure and complete bond.
When galvanized, the main characteristic of steel is its resistance to corrosion. With the zinc coating, it is more difficult for external elements to cause oxidation. This oxidation, the result of a chemical deterioration process, is characterized by iron in steel that reacts with oxygen and water that leads to deterioration (commonly known as rust).
Also noteworthy is the change made to the paint scheme of our products, which are now coated with thermosetting material, free of toxic elements and with a gloss finish in RAL painting 7016.
All these changes contribute to the assembly of a durable and high quality product.
