PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Grupel is present in major rehabilitation works in Portugal. With a wide range of tailor-made solutions and the most varied areas requiring an auxiliary power source, Grupel has implemented two generators for energy support in the now rehabilitated Carlos Lopes Pavilion, in Lisbon.
The requalification of this iconic space has cost eight million euros to the Tourism Association of Lisbon (ATL), entity in charge of rehabilitating the building, with the aim of promoting the achievements of the Portuguese Olympic champion Carlos Lopes through a permanent exhibition, as well as to host the most diverse cultural, corporate, commercial and sports events promoted by ATL in the center of the Portuguese capital.
The generators provided within this work are models of the IndustrialRange of Grupel, which was designed to operate normally as the main and emergency power source in installations where there is no other source of energy or when it exists is very weak.
The Industrial Range generators are solidly built as a result of the investigation of the R&D department of Grupel and are prepared to withstand adverse weather conditions such as dust sands temperature variations heavy rains and snow. They also provide maximum performance and maximum accessibility available without their uptime as for the maintenance.
For this specific project Carlos Lopes Pavilion, Grupel has supplied two three-phase generators, each with 400kVA power, which will operate in emergency mode.
The generators were equipped with:
- Doosan engine, model P158LE-1
- Stamford alternator model HCI444E
- Soundproof canopy model Grupel 4500II
This is another project that Grupel is proud to support in the national market and thus reinforces the company’s leadership in the diesel generator market in Portugal.
