Why?

In 2016, the European Union set a goal of reducing harmful gas emissions and pollutants resulting from combustion engines, to improve air quality. Since 2019, measures related to this goal were taken in Europe, namely, with the coming into effect of the 2016/1628/CE regulation. The new rule has forced the production and commercialization of non-road mobile machinery with STAGE V engines, which include gensets with lower emissions and more environmentally friendly.

With these new models, Grupel’s solutions become perfectly adequate for the regulations in force, especially in the European rental market, proving its position as a brand suited for the future of industry and power generation.

What to expect from Grupel’s Stage V Power Generators

Grupel’s STAGE V models have powers ranging from 7 to 670kVA and a set of special features such as:

1. Two-stage particulate filter for fuel injection (DOC + DPF):

The DOC (Diesel Oxidation Catalytic) reduces the amount of CO and increases NO2 entering the Selective Catalytic Reduction, speeding up the conversion of NOx into nitrogen and water, which are harmless;
The DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) reduces the emission of unburned diesel particles and ash, and reduces diesel consumption;

2. A Common Rail injection system with optimized computer calibration to minimize pollutant production;

3. Fuel tank and AdBlue tank (purification system made with urea solution), easy to access for maintenance and cleaning purposes.
