A power generator is, as its name implies, a device capable of generating energy. This is responsible for converting any type of energy (e.g. chemical, mechanical, etc.) into electrical energy.

To start up, the direct current generator is dependent on electromagnetic induction, capable of transforming / converting it into electrical energy. This causes the magnetic field strength to oscillate, leading to voltage induction at the terminals it has. So, when they are subjected to loads it leads to the circulation of energy.

Regarding the conversion of solar energy into electricity, this is achieved using photovoltaic generators.
