Grupel's process of Quality control arises under the "Quality Management System", according to the ISO NP EN 9001:2008 standard by the Portuguese Institute of Quality, which is based on eight guiding principles:

- Management Approach through a System (QMS)
- Continuous improvement
- Fact-based approach to decision making
- Mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers
This important process is ensured by the company's Quality department, which evaluates all manufacturing procedures of our products to ensure the delivery of excellent and defect-free equipment to our customers worldwide.
But, what stages does the quality control process at Grupel entail?
After the assembly of all the components and the electrical connections are made, each Grupel generator undergoes a stage of testing to verify its correct start-up and its fault-free operation. After the conclusion of this stage of testing and operation of the generator set, the Quality Department carries out a thorough examination by following a check sheet containing the criteria for the acceptance of the product's conformity. Only after the validation of all the control points, Grupel's approved product seal will be given.
In case of any non-conformity, it is immediately reported to the managers of the several production stages and the product returns to the manufacturing line to be duly repaired.
When, on the control sheet, there is no sign of any problem, the equipment is considered approved and a seal with the words "product approved by quality" is placed on it.
Besides this verification, a kit containing the following elements is also included in the quality control process:
- Alternator manual
- Engine manual
- Grupel's manual and electrical schematic
- Generator keys
