PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The power station of Santo Amaro II in the islands of Sao Tome and Principe was built to strengthen the country’s ability of power generation from the current 16 megawatts to 22 megawatts.

Faced with a deficit of energy infrastructure, either in the production or transport field, local authorities seek solutions to help facilitate the country’s economic development and attracting foreign investment.

In partnership with Efacec, Grupel developed, for a continuous power generation plant, 3 diesel generator of 2500 kVA at 750 RPM with SCADA system and an auxiliary container with a Blackstart Generator with 110 KVA, central fire protection system, and pneumatic cranking system.
